I first made the connection to the motel and RV park that was used in the movie “The Notebook”. I had seen it before but had never really paid much attention to it. I thought it was just another motel or RV park, but as I watched it, I couldn’t help but notice the similarities between the two. I felt like I was watching myself, but it wasn’t me. It was the movie.
While I thought the movie was brilliant, I think The Notebook is better than the movie. Maybe its just me, but I thought the movie was over-the-top and ridiculous rather than the real thing. The real movie, The Notebook, is the opposite of what I saw. It was more realistic, and had more depth to it. It isnt as silly or over the top as the movie, but it isnt as realistic.
In the movie, when Theo and Theo’s parents take them in for the weekend, I was just hoping that I could see a moment where their parents are trying to be normal. Like, “Oh, they’re just two little kids now. And they don’t think they’re as special as the others, because they never had to deal with people like that before or things like that.
I think the big difference between the movie and the book is the way that people are shown their parents. The movie is very much a family oriented movie where Theo is the only parent with a job, a girlfriend, and a young son. In the book, Theo is the only parent, and he has a girlfriend and a young son.
