yonder escalante is the third in Dauntless’s “Bastion” line. It’s being developed by Arkane Studios and is currently in pre-alpha testing. Dauntlesss Bastion is being developed by Arkane Studios.
But as you can see, the main aim of the game is to be a “player-on”. It’s pretty slick, but not so slick that you don’t get the feeling that it’s really about taking care of some pretty big games with a few small patches.
As it turns out, the game is being developed by Arkane’s subsidiary, Dauntless. The Dauntless development team will be working mainly on a sequel to the game, which will have a different combat system. The first Dauntless game, Dauntless: Deathstorm, was a game about taking down a huge boss.
I was curious about what the Dauntless version would be like. The game is pretty short compared to most Arkane games, but I’m sure the developers could cram in a lot of content.
